There are a few things that I adore when it comes to going somewhere by flight. The first is the large airports, the fine airline meals and getting on the airplane. While not everyone will adore these things, just about everyone gets apprehensive when it comes to airport parking.
Trying to get a good car parking spot on the short or long term car park spots near the most conducive airline flight terminal is time intensive, stressful and probably highly priced. One thing that must happen once you have found your parking spot is dragging your luggage over curbs, on walkways, maybe up or down elevators, across a couple roads. It might also involve finding a trolley, weighing your luggage gear as you check in.
Well, one thing that is sometimes uncertain is getting car parking as the rest is pretty straightforward. Some of the things people ask with this regard is where is a free and secure parking spot; where can I pay for parking; how much will it be; I have a lot of luggage so I need to get a spot near the right terminal etc. If you are really unlucky you might also have to grapple with the rain.
Well, some of these issues are now getting sorted in many airports around the world. These days one can be able to dispense the hassles of airport parking using the internet. I am talking about the mushrooming Airport park and ride services in major airports in the world. In this new scenario, one simply goes online and identifies parking spaces available at the airport, and books and pays for it. When the time of travel comes, it’s simply a matter of driving to the airport and parking.
And you know what? Valet parking is also available at some of these airports. So you simply use the internet to book your parking at the airport and drive to the terminal entrance, then you valet driver takes over and ensures your car is well taken care of while you travel in peace.
While this new way of parking at the airport appears to be complicated, it isn't at all I have used valet parking provided by one park and fly Auckland service many times and the process just gets easier each and every time. However one does need to book in advance for this to work. You still need to plan your trip well, right from your travel documents to the timing for your flight.
This may not be a problem for me as I like to arrive on the airport with plenty of time to relax and provide a buffer just incase something goes wrong right before the flight. For example there can be heavy traffic on the way to the airport. So, yes you have parking ready but traffic can still make you miss your flight and loose more money on your pre-paid parking slot.
